Washington Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame May 4

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the Washington Chapter, is proud to announce the induction of the Class of 2024 into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. This is the ultimate award for individuals who have devoted their life to our great sport.
The 2024 honorees are Medal of Courage: Army Sgt. Justin Norton (Deceased), Rainier HS, US Army
Lifetime Service to Wrestling: Jim Chapman-Coach, Columbia River Terry Cochran-Official Doug Cowan-Coach, Curtis and Clover Park Dick Ford-Official and Coach Peter Hulswit (Deceased)-Oak Harbor HS Scott Jones-Coach, Lakeside Bob Lynn-Coach, Hudson's Bay, Official Mark Perry-Coach, Snohomish Lee Reichert-Coach, Kentwood and Enumclaw Randy Tomaras-Contributor and Coach
These individuals have given countless hours of their time instilling young people with the skills needed to succeed in all areas of life. They will be permanently recognized at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma. https://nwhof.org/state-chapters
The Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held Saturday May 4th, 2024, at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center in Federal Way, Washington. The social will begin at 1:00 pm, with the Induction Ceremony following at 3:00 pm. This is an opportunity for you to honor these great individuals and promote the positive aspects of our oldest and greatest sport – Wrestling.
If you are not able to personally attend the induction banquet, you can still honor the inductees through a donation to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. We look forward to May 4th, a great day for Washington’s outstanding inductees and the sport of wrestling. Washington is very proud of these deserving honorees.

I'm disappointed that State Freestyle/Greco is the same weekend as this event. I know there's a lot of work that goes into honoring these outstanding inductees & hope this overlap can be prevented in the future.

It was an honor to coach against Bob Lynn and Jim Chapman for over 17 years. Both great coaches who made their wrestlers better individuals. I will be there to honor them and another old Kelso wrestler Dick Ford who gave back to this great sport in many ways.
