[Not a dietitian, research necessary, parent help necessary]Timing is as important as nutrition. For tournaments and duals, best time to eat is immediately after weighing in, and small portions immediately after a match. This way you space your meal as far away from your next match as possible. You don't wanna feel your sandwich in your stomach when you're wrestling. For practice days, right after practice you should eat your last meal of the day and it should be timed to be the very last thing you consume besides water for the rest of the day in a fully balanced diet. No midnight snacking|
