I honestly believe the issue was that we trusted the wrong coaches with our girls. All these coaches at certain clubs have built their girls wrestling program based off of that they are "National team Coaches" and recruit as such. My daughter was one of them. We were enticed to move clubs based off a coach hounding me to make my daughter better. I was reeled in (Hook Line and sinker) and trusted that these "National Team Coaches" new what they were doing. A bunch of girls did with this new club. I found out the hard way that our old coach was better. Now, I have a daughter that doesnt want to go back in fear of the other girls making fun of her or not being her friend. The atmosphere at our "Jesus" club has resulted to blaming the girls for not preforming. Post covid, girls wrestling here was very dominant. Now? We are mid. When are we going to say enough is enough of the "Good Oh Boy club" and get some fresh coaches in that have an excellent track record for coaching??? Until we have that conversation, we are not going to get much better. Seriously, when are we going to say enough????
