Yes, Perez beat Colling 2-1 in the finals, which was his first loss of the year. However, let's compare the two: Perez has 9 losses this year and was beaten by Collins the week prior. Collins won Gut Check while Perez finished 4th a few weeks ago at the Viking Invite.I feel The Humint One rewarded Perez by moving him up to 5, and to an extent punished Collins by moving him down to 3. This certainly makes perfect sense.
I never hear anyone post notes like "Thanks for noticing Duane Zamora at 126 who took both districts and regionals after the freshman started the season not being too competitive". There are many more examples where the rankers put in this type of research that certainly goes unnoticed.
