1) The Rankings. This is more difficult then one might think. The De-Centralized nature of HS schedule info and results require a ton of work to get those rankings right or even close. If the Rankers stay loyal to the "Wrestling Report", it would be difficult to find ample people to replicate their work on a different platform.
2) Unvarnished, untethered, raw, conversation about issues. This is a good thing and not so good thing. Things can be said here that need to be said while the poster is protected from any retaliation. Most mainstream social media sites have the ID thing down pretty good. And they are getting better at it every year. People check themselves and their mouths when their identity is known. Social Media discussions are inherently filtered.
That's not to say it's all good. There is some thrashing on this board that just needs to not happen. I guess though, to get the good you put up with the bad.
The bar is set awfully high before a moderator takes out a thread. It's cringeworthy reading some of the garbage and personal attacks that are allowed. All the while, the attackers are permitted to hide behind a fake name.
