The amount of hours I spend performing coaching duties exceeds the amount of hours I work at my full time job already.
Meeting the existing WIAA and school district requirements for coaching is already excessive (Training, courses, etc etc).
I have a family and bills to pay, the coaching stipend for a season boils down to pocket change. It barely covers coffee.
Enough is Enough
Will my seasonal stipend increase by the amount of time it takes me to take drug tests?
For example, Hours taken from main job mulitpled by hourly wage of current main job, plus gas to and from testing site.
Yes, I want that extra 150 bucks to take a useless test that is going to tell me I don't use drugs.
And I won't be alone in feeling this way.
Furthermore, with a few clicks of the mouse on the internet, you will find policy like this has a financial cost to the schools and programs.
Depending on how it's administered, it can be unsustainable.
A policy like this could easily hurt the sport overall.
OR
How about if you have a problem with a coach and suspect he has a drug problem, put on your big boy pants and address your concerns with the AD.
