People aren't exactly lining up to go to Fargo. It is 10 days away from your family and a volunteer job. There is no way as a Coach that I could have seen every kid wrestle. Kids need to be ready to wrestle when they get to Fargo, the Coach in the corner isn't going to help them do that.
I do agree that we have a group of Coaches that are there looking out for their own kids. Also younger Coaches, who glom on to successful kids and like to take the credit.
In the grand scheme, if your kid is good enough they will do just fine at Fargo as they have been in that position against top talent many times before. If they haven't they will likely get to train with some really good kids, get a cool t-shirt and meet some of their heroes.
