And, for the record, the DMPs at Mat Classic are highly qualified, and the process is as thorough and fair as possible. Everyone should have the highest level of confidence regarding what happens with the DMPs at Mat Classic. PERIOD.
And, for the record, I was not personally located at any tournament where this was an issue the past 2 weeks, and I have no personal involvement with any situations that arose in that timeframe.
Consistent with my usual mode of commentary, I simply try to provide insight into what the NFHS Rules say, and insight into how officials may apply those rules. In this particular thread, I have only added commentary regarding an extremely unusual circumstance where the assessment of "appropriate" would come into question regarding a DMP - and this has been a theoretical discussion. As I have shared repeatedly, I have never seen or heard of a situation where any official ever questioned whether the DMP was "appropriate".
