Posted by Dave G Please understand that I am sympathetic to people wanting no-cost advertising to help raise funds for their group but this site was not designed for that. It was designed to be a center for wrestling. I look at it like the classifieds in the newspaper. There you have to pay to have an ad unless you are giving something away for free and then they don’t charge you. If you are offering something (wrestling related) totally for free then you can post here for free but otherwise you will need to purchase an ad like all the other site advertisers have. Just sticking to site policy. PS: I would like to thank all the advertisers that helped support this site over the past year that I went to ads. It is their support that allows the site to continue as it has. Please help by not posting messages with links to sites that are not paying sponsors. We should protect and support them. Please help by following the rules.

I recently received several requests to place free ads on the message board for team fundraisers or to advertise individual services. This site is paid for by the advertising on it. Anyone is able to purchase an advertisement based on the rates that are stated on the board. The financial supporters of the site that paid to advertise their event/service deserve the right to some measure of exclusivity. It would not be fair for me to have them pay and then allow someone else to advertise a competing event/service (other than a wrestling tournament) for free. Ads are cheap ($30 for 60 days, $45 with flyer) but at least it covers my time a bit and allows everyone an equal opportunity to place an ad.
