Posted by P to the B on 2/9/2004, 6:13 pm We have been known for our poor turnouts to men's basketball games, and somewhat apathetic support (obviously preaching to the choir here), but this team has the opportunity to make a run. A deep run, and much of our momentum and positioning depends on this game Wednesday. The roads look to be clear. The weather shouldn't be a problem. The game isn't on tv, and the boys need to see the support they got against Drake and Creighton at this juncture of the season. Get to the game. Be rowdy. And let's put these Bears in early hibernation. Go Panthers!

This basketball team needs your support. They need some loud, vocal fans in the seats Wednesday night. They need a major impact and lift from the crowd against an exceptionally athletic SMS team. This is probably our biggest non-in-state rival. We go back with SMS to our D2 years. This is a must win game for the Panthers. If UNI wins, the Panthers sit alone in 4th place as they still play Wichita and SIU. If they drop this game, the Panthers are looking at a 5th place finish (which is still what our expectations were at the beginning of the season).
