Posted by P to the B on 1/24/2004, 11:53 am Dowling's Wilcox picks Northern Iowa Kyle Wilcox, a Des Moines Register first-team all-state offensive lineman from Dowling Catholic, will play at Northern Iowa, his coach said. Wilcox, a 6-foot 4-inch senior who weighs about 250-pounds, also was a Register elite all-CIML selection last fall. Wilcox played offensive and defensive line in high school. He said he plans to play defensive tackle for the Panthers. Northern Iowa was an academic fit for him, too. "I'm majoring in education and that's the best school to become a teacher at," said Wilcox, who has a 3.16-grade-point average. Wilcox also said he liked the coaching staff and staying close to home. So, do we have any other commitments yet? Also, how good is this guy?
