I use a hommemade version ( a one person, then two person)using Henry's plan. They work very well. I am sure the models for sale are much better made than mine. I used to use a full size tyvek floor, but it never stayed spread out very well, so I do not bother with it any more. Tyvek also catches a lot of debris (like leaves) that is hard to remove without a brush. I would not recommend a tyvek floor. Tyvek has small, almost invisible threads, that catch the debris. Tyvek is alos breathable, not waterproof. I sometimes carry a single piece of rip-stop nylon that is about the same size as my pad for a ground cover which helps if the ground is really wet. The netting does provide some protection from rain as well. If no rain or bugs, roll up the netting at the door. ( I live in the Northeast where there are plenty of mosquitos.) You can purchase a kit for the tarptent at Thru-hiker.com, if you are tempted at sewing your own.
