Tent - Are you going to be sharing the tent or using it alone? The microzoid is really small. You can't sit up in the tent. It's sort of a large bivy. It is lightweight though. The PCT1 is made by Mountain Hardwear and weighs more but has a good deal more room. If your under say 6' you should be able to sit up in it. The tent I have is the Golite Hex 3 with the nest if I want to keep out the bugs. Check out their web site for details.
Packs - I have the Golite Speed pack and the Lowe Alpine Ophir. They hold almost the same amount . The Speed pack weighs about half the weight of the Lowe pack but does'nt carry a load over 25 - 30 lbs well.
Stove - I use the Primus Tecnotrail. It's very compact and uses cannister fuel. I'm very satisfied with it.
Messkit - I'm usually only boiling water so I use one pot. I just purchased the Primus Trek Kettle to replace the pot. I also have a MSR Blacklite Guide set which I use if I'm cooking for two or want to cook more than just add water type meals. Its a great set thats held up pretty well and is easy to clean.
Some things you might ask yourself are:
Where and when will I be backpacking?
How far will I be going?
Will I be the only one in the tent?
How important is weight? The ounces really start to add up.
I hope this helps. If you have any more questions I'll try and help out. Good luck.
