On a closed message board, I found info from Mr. Onestep and pictures about a crashed plane on Mt.Ellen Vermont, near Mt. Abraham. The crash was from 1973. I found this info at this link;

I was shocked to see that the wreckage was abandoned on the mountain, I suppose small planes are.
In the immediate area is another crash site;
44 08N
72 56W
This plane crashed 40 years ago to this evening (September 28, 1969), I knew somebody aboard, it crashed near the summit and burned, nobody walked out.
I've often wondered if the wreck was still there, and would like to hike to the location. For those of you familiar with the region and that side of Sugarbush, any info you could offer is appreciated. I have a spinal injury but can still get around, I'm also wondering if I'm capable of getting down the slope to the site, and back up. I've hiked a lot, I guess it's a closure issue. Any information regarding this plane crash is appreciated and I thank you in advance.
Following is the NTSB report, all I can find, on the incident;
