I need a new gas cap gasket for an Olympus Primus 8 R gasolene stove. The old one is hardened. I have installed an O ring that just fits inside the cap. It seems to work and the stove works without any problems.
Has anyone ever replaced the gasket with an o ring and had problems ?
The price is cheap and certainly would be a lot easier than getting a new gasket.
