I'm looking to get some boots (not tennis shoes) to cut some weight. I'm not as fully ultralight as Onestep as my hiking partner is a photographer (adding 3lbs per person to our packs). My full pack weight depending on trip length and such ranges between 25 and 40 pounds. Generally I hike with 25 - 30 pounds total. I have full grain leather boots with a rigid sole and want to move to waterproof boots that are more around 2 lbs but are still capable of supporting weight loads in that range. Can anyone offer any support?
