The best ultralight jacket that I have found is the Montbell Ultralight Thermawrap Jacket. It only weighs 8.8 ounces but is suprisingly warm. I have a down version of it too, but I like the ability of the synethic to deal with getting wet. I have a Patagonia Puff Ball and their claimed weight is way off, it really weighs almost a full pound. The Montbell is about as warm and weighs half of what the Patagonia jacket does.
