BMW 525D SE (E60) - Noise from throttle body #
Posted by Mike Burgess on October 3, 2010, 8:46 am Hi, I have a BMW 5 series with a sucking noise which comes and goes about every 5 seconds. It sounds like it is coming from under inlet mainfold. If I squeeze the black and blue strip vac pipe coming from throttle body valve, then it goes. I have tried to trace the pipe to were it is atached but can not find the other end as it disapears behind the starter area, even with all the lower shields off. I have smoked the pipe but no signs of leakage and wonder if it is the throttle body valve itself as you can here it clicking when the noise happens. O nce the car is revving slightly then it goes.
