Hi Simon, I didn't reply earlier on this one as I thought that someone else would have been able to tell you more about them, But The correct way that the Dealers used to do these was to remove the engine, One of the Techs from our Now Bankrupt Main Dealer always used to remove the engine and he said that it was the best part of 8 hours work. He then left and did one in situ as the company that he went to work for did not have the facilities to remove the engine, He said it was not too bad and saved a fair bit of time, I also had a Mechanic do one for me at My garage and it took him about 4 hours, But the Sump has to come off and a plate between the engine and box had to be bent to allow removal of the sump ??, And also the driveshaft had to be removed. ( Not my sort of job ) H.T.H. Tony.
