You have to be very light with your touch
Just hover over the top of the sensor and let the wetness on your finger make contact with the sensor (to fill the air gap, so to speak) don't let your finger physically touch the senor, you will loose the sensation if you do .
Or the other way is to touch the sensor with your wet finger and very slowly move it away from the sensor to achieve the very slight air gap
