I have a ford ranger in as a non start, there is no rpm signal present when cranking,
I scoped the sensor which is a hall effect sensor with the 3 wires,i have a good 12V power supply and a good ecu ground,
Looking at the signal I noticed the wave form looks good except the signal only goes up as far as 5 volt!
There is a 12v power supply to this sensor!
Should the signal be reaching 12v? would anyone of you know?or am I looking at a faulty sensor?
