The cams are quite tight in there so to remove the carbon ideally the cams will need to come out. The driver has informed us he has had the timing chain replaced in the last 6 months/10k miles so we have suggested may be warranty by the BMW dealer who carried out the work. He has contacted the dealer who will not commit without seeing the car so they have asked for photos which we have provided. They will not commit either way without the car in their workshop which I understand but the service manager rang us this evening and I suggested it should be warranty as they had the head off so should have replaced the seals so surely they have a parts warranty of 1 year or 12k miles. He was very negative blaming this engine for a high coke build-up etc etc etc so might be down to that and not a seal failure as such which im not getting really as to me its a injector seal failure. I pointed out to him that they had the car in last week to investigate oil smell and oil leak but its blatantly obvious they never lifted the top cover otherwise they would have seen the injector leak. The driver has a unsigned safety check which they advise they don't sign with a quote to investigate the oil leak at £100 quote. Whats all your views on this
