Hoping somebody can give me some advice. Vehicle came in with misfire, diagnosed engine ecu fault. Decided to put a second hand ecu on, programmed key ok and vehicle ran. Only problem was the second hand ecu was configured for abs and the vehicle didn't have abs. Told the customer to go to ford and they should be able to sort it. Ford told him they couldn't do anything with it which I thought was strange. Customer then decided to get his old ecu repaired which he did, I then proceeded to recode it to the instrument cluster which it failed. Customer only had 1 key so told him to get another key, he came with a cloned key which I told him that I didn't think that would work but he wanted me to try. I cleared down the keys and tried to reprogram the keys but only could program 1 key. So I got a new ford key and tried that but still no joy. I can program each key individually but not 1 after another so it has 2 keys stored in the control unit. Sorry for the long post.
Regards jamie
