Year of Manufacture *: 2004
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1600 fsi BLF
Bit of a story attached to this one. Has had water ingress into the engine bay fuse box, now dried off and sorted. Then found engine ECU connector had water ingress, new ECU and connector pins fitted and coded in by local Skoda dealer.
All was OK until customer was driving in a downpour, then ABS & ESP lights came on accompanied by a buzzer.
Found further water ingress in engine ECU connector plugs, now dried out & a cut up plastic bottle taped around to prevent further ingress, that seems to have worked.
But I can't clear the ABS fault. The code will clear but returns as soon as I come out of the controller. I have recoded it according to the labels in VCDS - no difference. I have put in a different coding to ensure that the controller is coding, and then returned it to the correct one. I have checked the feeds are all present and a good earth.
What now? Customer has lost faith in the car, and is getting frustrated, I have lost even more hair and now going round in circles.
Thanks in anticipation
