It sure is a good thing greyeagle, but too bad the Packers can't beat a team with a winning record. The Packers have these problems:
2) I realize this will sound like an excuse (I think it's a reason
) and I know every team has to deal with them, but the Packers have had 2 key injuries on their offensive line. The first dates back to last year when Mark Tauscher had season ending surgery and isn't back, and the other is Chad Clifton, who although he was on the sidelines didn't play in the first half of the Vikings game, which is all I've watched so far. Their inexperienced replacements are the reason Rodgers is getting pressured and sacked more than he should be, and why the offense isn't clicking.
3. The Packers' new defense is another reason. This year they switched to the 3-4 defense from the 4-3 last year. The effect of this is that it has essentially made their best pass rusher, Aaron Kampman, a linebacker, when he was a Pro Bowl defensive end. But the defense was making up the difference in the preseason because they would blitz the safeties more, which they have hardly done at all during the regular season.
But you are right greyeagle; Favre is playing spectacular this year and is getting the most out of a relatively unknown receiving corps. And it's scary to think that they're should get better as the season progresses.
