I knew all along he was eventually gonna get the consecutive starts record, but it was a matter of time when. And I dunno if you can call either the period inbetween 2007 and 2008, or 2008-2009 a 'retirement', since he didn't skip playing any seasons at all.
It's just as interesting to think he set the record, while playing for the same team as Jim Marshall. Congrats to him, from a Bears fan of all people. Still dislike his Wrangler Jeans commercials, and anytime he plays against the Bears though.
