First off, thanks to John for his putting my name on the Texas Longhorns scoreboard as winner of this year's competition. I am honored for my name to reside in the same place that also flashed the names of such football greats as Darrell Royal, Tommy Nobis, Earl Campbell, Ricky Williams, and Vince Young. Thanks buddy! Thanks to Mark and Jay as well for their acknowledgement below. And thanks to all the participants, great job guys and gal, everyone won way more than they lost, and helped push me to concentrate that much harder (especially you Johnny Rico, Until the Steelers won last week I was never completely confident that I would win).
As for my pick for the Superbowl, as good as the Cardnals have looked lately, I am going to stick with the old addage that I just happen to believe in. "Good defense beats good offense". It helped me pick the winner of the BCS Championship game this year (it was hard picking against that high powered Oklahoma offense, but I went with Florida's great Defense). So I am picking the:
