I see I failed to pick the Lions to lose, but since they are going for a perfect record, maybe we all should get a freebie? No? Well, they were ahead 17-0 and still lost by almost 20 points. But, the Jets beat the Titans by a lucky 13 points. In Tennessee. And, poor San Diego, they lost at home to our Colts by 3. So many NFL games are decided by a last-minute field goal.
But, football brings out the best and worst in people. We had over a foot of snow in Michiana, which fans used to pelt the Fighting Irish with snowballs during their loss to Syracuse. Maybe they were aiming at the coach. People say he's not worth what he's being paid.
But Tom Crean has a $24 million contract at IU and no one complains. Of course, he's the basketball coach.
