He looks like he could be standing in NW Indiana, with lake effect snow swirling about. Temps should be in the low twenties for the late afternoon game in Foxboro, but for the evening game, in Green Bay, well just look at Bret to see what the temerature is expected to be. Eli Manning has played only one game in freezing weather, but I hope that everyone wears their long underwear (or longjohns). No parkas, mufflers, insulated boots, or fur-lined mittens allowed. Just a bunch of men vs Mother Nature, shivvering for the right to, possibly, lose to the Pats. But, while the thought of another Manning beating Brady's Bunch is interesting, Bret vs Tom could bring the most viewers ever to the Super Bowl. No one is predicting that the Giants will beat the Packers in the Snow Bowl. But, neither is anyone predicting that the Chargers will beat the Patriots. Brady & co. has more cold weather playing under their belt. Now, I have to wonder about why the games start so late, but maybe they figure the weather will add an element of suprise that will have more people tuning in to see if icicles form on Eli's nose.
I just looked out my window and for a moment I thought I saw Bret. But, it was just the outdoor thermometer. 4 is really cold (and the wind chill must be 20 or more below), but tomorrow night 4 will be hot! On Fox 28 in widescreen HD. Chilled Angie.
