The last Colts game in the doomed Dome wasn't what we hoped. It was sad enough to read about the demolition plans for the RCA Dome, but to go out like this?
It was also sad when Market Square Arena was imploded, especially for Elvis fans, but I've been to Conseco Fieldhouse and it is a better place, just as the Lucas Oil Stadium will be better (at least much much bigger).
So ends the Colts season, their next home game to be in their new home. Forrest Lucas and his wife, both native Hoosiers, will be there.
And plans are underway for devevelopment of the Market Square site, with office towers, condos, apartments and retail space. The cost could be around $250 million, about one third of the cost of the Lucas Oil Stadium. Where there's oil, there's money. Better luck next year Angie.
