Ok I'll take your statement at face value, BUT how many of these neighbors of yours would jump at the chance to run asphalt in the camping world trucks or nationwide or sprint series? I too grew up around dirt cars and tracks and there is very little that gets my adrenaline going like they do... EXCEPT high HP cars on asphalt. If you've never tried it don't knock it. Most every person on dirt has that secret little fantasy of being discovered and going racing with the big boy's. ON ASPHALT. Some don't I'll agree as real speed scares some. Point is that little bitty asphalt track is a blast. Plus ya don't have to go to the car wash afterwards. Don't have to buy tear off's. Don't have to groove your tires. Plus if I remember correctly you can go up there any day and rent the track for $25. Don't be a hater. If things are only like YOU think they should be we'd all have mullets and drive a ford truck. LOL That last part was a joke. Don't get all huffy.
