I actually know of 2 Standardbreds that recently had career ending injuries recently. Both have very negotiable prices to the right home there may not be one...The mare is a bay with a white star and the gelding is bay..they are both 9 going on 10. The mare has a possible hairline fracture in the right ankle and will need turn out/stall rest for the next few months. The gelding bowed a tendon a few days ago and will need stall rest/turn out as well. The mare is about 15 hands and the gelding is 15.2 hands. These horses will not go to homes that plan to race them in the future they are done racing. These horses are both attractive for Standardbreds they have attractive heads and especially the gelding would look really good as a riding horse. I'm not the owner I am a friend of the owner...I'm trying to find them good homes before they end up with a dealer. The mare would be a good broodmare prospect. E-mail me for pics and bloodlines. The gelding would be a good riding prospect after 4-6 months rest. I have been on his back and ridden him at a walk at the track before and he did fine. The gelding needs a home ASAP. Both horses are still at the racetrack. I will be gone from Dec. 26 (this evening ) until the 29th...any inquiries can contact me at my cell phone at 859-396-4414. Thank you.
