Posted by Marli During our conversation today, we got to speaking about the Christmas Holiday coming up, and she suggested the idea of a 1st Annual 'Home A Horse for the Holiday' for Christmas. During the week of the Christmas Holiday, (Monday, December 19th.), and dependant upon the monies collected towards this effort, Kelly will purchase a horse(s), to enable them to be secure and safe for Christmas and NOT finding themselves being toted off to any slaughterplant. Lost & Found Horse Rescue continues to work tirelessly, everyday, to rescue/save unwanted horses, educate the public, and advocate against the slaughter of horses. Lost & Found Horse Rescue is also active in the joint efforts involving other rescue facilities. And any horse adopted through the Lost & Found Horse Rescue is accompanied by a stringent contract, to ensure the welfare and safety of the horse for life. So, without further delay, for anyone wishing to make a real difference to a horse(s), contributions can be sent to Kelly at Lost & Found Horse Rescue in Pa. Indicate along w/your donation that this is for the Christmas Event, Home a Horse for the Holidays. To paypal- lostandfound@blazenet.net OR through Lost & Found website- By Snail Mail- Lost & Found Horse Rescue Foundation Inc. Also, to coincide with this special event, the need for foster individuals (or for that matter, permanent homes) will be greatly needed. Often times it is the ability to stable a horse for a short time, until permanent arrangements can be made. For anyone wishing to provide this type of assistance, please contact Kelly as well. 717-428-9701 (barn) All contributions will be tagged specifically for this event - and please remember, even the smallest amount CAN & DOES make a real difference for the life of the horse!

As many of you may know, on any given day I may receive a phone call from Kelly (Lost & Found Horse Rescue, Pa) that there's an opportunity to save a horse either from a terrible situation, or from any of the local sales. The different forum communities have been dedicated to providing the necessary assistance, through the generous donations towards their 'ransoms' as well as other provisions - and it's because of your direct involvement that has changed the lives for the many horses saved.
