I have an arab gelding that i found and bought starving on a farm - the other horse that was in with him was already dead- that was four years ago- Royal is about fourteen yrs old- very gentle and sweet- has had all shots-except flu-rhino- teeth were just done by my vet that i work with -he is an equine dental sp/ Royal has a club foot and although i started him under saddle when i first got him- i decided that he was better off being a pasture mate and staying sound than being ridden and left to finish his life out in pain. I have other horses that i rescued also- i do it out of pocket - i work for a vet and do training to pay for my horses to eat. I would keep them til they die of old age but i am losing the lease on the farm i am on and can not afford another- so i am forced to find good -safe - happy homes for my kids or i am putting them down to make sure they don't suffer again.
