For sale: 1974 firebird, 400 motor out of a 69 catalina. 290 factory rated HP.10.5 to 1 compression. Bored 0.010 over, mild cam, Performer intake, 750 Quadrajet, HEI, headers with custom 2.25 Hooker pipes with Flowmasters and h-pipe. I would geuss it to be about 320 horsepower now. Runs good and shifts hard. Does not smoke. 400turbo trans shiftkit. New four core radiator. New water pump. New fuel pump. New Centerline wheels with BF Goodrich tires. Newer 5 ply leaf springs. Coil over shocks front and rear. Trans Am 1.25 front sway bar. 5/8" rear sway bar, both with poly bushings. New gas tank. L88 fiberglass hood, Fiberglass fenderflares molded into body. 17 layers of burgandy paint. Deluxe black interior. Hurst his and hers ratchet shifter. New grant steering wheel. 4 or 5 VERY SMALL rust issues. Drivers seat has tear in seat area.Trans leaks a quarter size mark if left to sit for long periods. Car sat in a pole building for 14 years. I bought it in 2004 and still have the 1990 inspection sticker I pulled off it. I have all the reciepts for the work and parts I did. Sharp looking Firebird. $8500.00 O.B.O.
