Something I have done that's great fun for my kids is putting on a circus--they draw "acts" from a pile,("balancing on the tight rope" is walking on a chalkline drawn on the floor, etc.) and the Master of Ceremonies gets to wear a top hat and narrate each act--what the performer will do, what he is doing, and then what he did.
The kids love taking turns being the MC and performers.
