hi,
i use a game called cariboo by cranium. It has pull out cards that are about 2X2. anyway, i cut out new artic pic. or create them on boardmaker, whatever and put those in the slots instead.
Overall the game has 6 balls the child puts into 1 of 3 holes and opens boxes with a key to find the balls and puts them in a slot which when filled opens a surprise treasure chest. the kids love this and even my 3rd graders still insist playing.
you could use this with language/thematic vocab. ect. I also use this to do spatial concepts. "put the ball in the first, second, middle hole."
