I have a fun game that the kids all like. I may have gotten the idea from this site several years ago. The game is played using dice and manipulatives (pasta shaped like wheels, buttons, beads, etc..) whatever you have on hand will work. Each student gets 2 chances per turn. They have to take the first roll. They have to say their sound/word/sentence etc...as many times as the roll. They also get that many pieces. The second roll is a "chance" or optional role. The kicker is that if you ever roll a "one", you have to give back ALL of your pieces.
