Maybe you can find some books your kids would enjoy that contain words with their target sound in it. Read the book to them and have them raise their hand (or ring a bell) every time they hear a word with their target sound in it. As you read, make a list of these words on a piece of paper (or just tally how many times the sound occurs if they are still at the isolation or syllable level) and practice saying them at the end.
