Does anyone have any suggestions for /r/ carryover? I am working with a 10 year old that has /r/ in the initial position in structured situations but not in conversation. She is not too motivated to use it - she says that people often ask her about her accent and I think she likes that!! She also thinks she sounds funny when she is producing the /r/ correctly. For the medial and final /r/ - she is using proper tongue movement - but it sounds "too far" in the back of her throat. I would appreciate any suggestions!!
