I found a very fun product from Lakeshore Learning (a site that I googled and found accidentally when I was looking for an inexpensive speech mirror) called Rhyming Houses. It looked like it would be fun for rhyming but also like it could be adapted for a zillion other sorting type tasks. It arrived and it looks wonderful. The little houses are very strong and fun to use. The pictures that come with them are of everyday things and are very sturdy too.
This is also the site where I bought my students' all-time favorite toy --the Ice Cream Builder set, and I did find a good speech mirror there that has served me well. A fun site!
