Early Childhood materials

I am going to be working with the early childhood population this fall and I am new to that population. Any suggestions on "must haves," toys, or tests for working with that population of kiddos? The population is quite diverse, there will be kiddos with autism, down syndrome, apraxia, as well, the typical artic and language kids. Thanks!!! ;)
