I use Ned's Head to work on asking questions ("What's in Ned's Head?"), taking turns, and pretend play. Everytime a child pulls something out, he has to do something fun with it (tickle his friend with the spider, pretend to eat the cheese, make the mouse eat the cheese, etc.). Another SLP I know has her students make up a story with the objects that he or she finds in Ned's Head.
