the CAAP is a test to determine what specific types of articulation errors or patterns of errors the student is making. I think it uses pictures to elicit speech from the child, but don't hold me to that because I haven't used it in a long time. The PLS-4 is an overall "umbrella" type assessment tool that tests for delays in receptive and expressive language, as well as screens pragmatic and articulation skills. This test uses a variety of manipulatives (toys, objects) which can be tough to get the hang of... it takes a while to complete too, but overall a good test. Hope this helps!
