I am wanting to know if a giant plantain has red makings on their young leaves, and can a giant plantain fruit at only 7 feet tall? I got one from a nursery and it was labeled that and i am afraid that it is very wrong now. I have waited 18 months for it to fruit and now the fruit is short, and so is the plant. Are the petio;les short or on the long side? Can anyone help me. I got a tray giant plantain sets from a T/C lab and they do not at all look like the one in the yard. They have red markings on hem , and a solid red line on the margin of the leaf. Thanks for any help you can give to me.
