Thanks Doc I like your answer and I am sure that STG won't mind. I agree with Doc. TDCJ at one time was focused on gangs but as some of the dinosaurs left gang issues was pushed onto the back burner.

But to answer in a nutshell:1. Dirty officers need to be prosecuted and not allowed to resign and walk away (more examples will eventually deter potential behavior,
2. inservice/preservice should have at least 3 hours of gang training and show the Barfield/Massey tape Good Lord future CO's need to see what a prison can be like and current CO's can be reminded and be glad it hasn't gotten that bad again...YET
3. STG postions are full time and not part time..gang members work 24-7 the position is one as well.
4. Never ever forget history those who do are doomed to repeat it..one day the chickens will come home to roost.
