Neither did it state that the seminar had to be specifically about bass fishing. So, since our first seminar, the muskie fisheries seminar, counted for points, I feel that the seminar I've posted ALREADY should also be exempt from the minimum attendance rule change since I posted it before the change was posted. I frankly don't understand why anyone would be upset about posting the Midwest marine seminars for points. We went to these last year! And grad students are all back around campus by now anyway.

Rob,
The reason for the dissention, at least as it occurs to me, is probably just the competitive nature of our club and the fact that points are really important. I think it's perfectly OK to have robust debate (as O'Reilly would call it) about issues like seminar attendance.
