I was in MI over break and itching to do some bass fishing. Trouble was, ice was everywhere and weakened due to rain and warmth. I went to the dam of my home lake hoping for open water and there was none there but the ice was less than an inch thick and honeycombing. I took a rod with 30 lb braid and rigged up a 3/4 ounce white jig with white Ika traler and pitched to the steep parts of the dam, punching holes in the ice with the jig! And in an hour I caught 2 bass, the most ridiculous fish I have ever caught, period.
