If you've read the rules, you'll see that quick sales are allowed. It only prohibits shows and large auctions. The other three rules are just to keep things civil and appropriate for every member of sim. Why are they a problem? I don't see how being polite is that difficult. Merrie certainly isn't the reason this board is failing. She's the reason it's lasted as long as it has. Boards like this are antiquated. Take a look around, most everyone prefers the phpBB/proboards/smf/etc. type of message board these days, and thus, boards in the old style fall to the wayside. If Merrie hadn't stepped up to maintain this board when the old owner vanished, this board would have been defunct years ago. Every single board active in sim is in the proboards/phpbb style, aside from All-Sim Arena. You should be commending Merrie for keeping this antique working for so long rather than blaming her for the community taking advantage of better forum technology.
