Artwork Critique?

Hi all, I have a piece of artwork I'm planning on entering a contest with. The competition isn't too stiff yet (lucky me) but I want to submit as much quality as I can. But I'm also lazy haha and think I've been staring at the screen too long. So could any friendly people with a few minutes to spare critique this piece for me? I know its kinda wonky, sorry 'bout that. I haven't started on the mane and tail (the tail will be longer). I'm most concerned about the right front leg. Everything from the shoulder to the fetlock just looks wrong to me. Admittedly, a lot about this horse is bugging me. So any help in the way of crits, comments, encouragement or flames would be much loved. You can be honest, I think I can take it, and I can still edit every part of the horse.
